Half Marathon, 4 Mile Run and Kids 10 and under Fun Run

The Runs are run on mostly flat low traffic scenic country roads. The Courses will not be closed to traffic.
4 Mile Run Course Description
The run starts in Riverside Park leaves the Park and heads north on Trapline Rd. in .9 mile it turns left on Timon Rd. at 1.8 miles it turns left on Stickney Island Rd. at about 2 miles there will be an aid station at 3.52 miles it turns right into Riverside Park once in the Park it follows a trail counter clockwise .48 mile around the park across the finish line at 4 miles. Please see attached map for a visual of the course.
Half Marathon Course Description
The run starts in Riverside Park follows a trail clockwise around the park. in .48 mile leaves the Park and heads north on Trapline Rd. at 1.38 miles turns left on Timon Rd. at 2.28 miles turns left on Stickney Island Rd. at about 2.5 miles there will be an aid station at 4.08 miles turns left on Trapline Rd. at about 4.7 miles there will be a second aid station at 5.38 miles turns left on Hampton Rd. at about 7.2 miles there will be a third aid station at 7.98 miles turns left on Northwood Rd. at 8.38 miles turns left on Timon Rd. at 9.18 miles turns left (North) on Slotmaker Rd. at about 9.7 miles there will be a fourth aid station at 9.74 miles it makes a U turn and heads (South) on Slotmaker Rd. at 10.24 miles turns left on Timon Rd. at 11.04 miles turns right on Stickney Island Rd. at about 11.5 miles there will be a 5th. and final aid station at 12.62 miles turns right into Riverside Park once in the Park follows a trail counter clockwise .48 mile around the Park across the finish line at 13.1 miles. PRE-REGISTRATION OPENS FEBRUARY 1, 2018
Race-day Registration will begin at 7:30 am. at Riverside Park and closes 15 minutes before each respective event. Bib Number pick-up starts at 7:30 am. and continues up until the time of your event.
Half Marathon (Walkers): Start at 8:00am
All other Half Marathoners: Start at 9:00am
4 Mile Runners: Start at 10am
Kid’s Fun Run: Starting at 9:15am
RUNNERS are advised that aid stations close down at noon and Finish Line timing will close at 1:30pm.
GBRC Members: Free
4 Mile: $20.00 (Pre-race). $25.00 (Day of Race)
Half Marathon: $25.00 pre-race. $30.00 Day of
Kid’s Fun Run (10 and Under): FREE
Plenty of post run hospitality for all Runners and Walkers. The Honeywagon Runs goes Green again this year. All of our utensils, plates and cups are compostable . So please use the provided container to dispose of your waste.
Medals will be given to the top 3 finishers over all in the Half Marathon and the 4 Mile Run (male/female). Also in the Half Marathon the First Place Finishers male/female will receive 3 one hour massages compliments of Mountain Meadow Massage in Everson. In the 4 Mile Event the First Place Finishers male/female will receive in addition to their Medal a one Year Membership to Pickford Film Center compliments of the Pickford. Certificates will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age group (male/female) in the Half Marathon and the 4 Mile Run. Age Groups are 10 and under, 11-14, 15-18 and then in 10 year increments thru age 80.
Certificates will also be awarded to first time Half Marathon finishers. You will have to let us know If this was your first Half Marathon finish so don’t be shy.
All awards can be picked up at the awards table following your event.
Mountain Meadow Massage will be offering complimentary massages before and after the runs. Come early and have them help you loosen up before you run. Or, after your run, a light massage is always good to help with recovery. This will be Mountain Meadow Massage’s third year at the Honeywagon Runs and we greatly appreciate their involvement.

In order to make our runs safe and enjoyable for all participants we have a few safety guidelines. Run/Walk facing on coming traffic and stay on the shoulder as much as possible. Please be advised the course does not lend itself to baby joggers. If you do choose to participate with a Baby Jogger please start at the back of the pack and when passing leave plenty of room. Also our courses do not lend themselves to running with dogs so please NO DOGS.
Directions to Event
From I-5 South: Take Sunset Exit (#255),turn right and go 1 mile to the Hannegan Rd. (3rd. light). Turn left on Hannegan, go 6 miles to the East Pole Road, turn right on East Pole Rd., follow East Pole Rd. to Everson, cross over Nooksack River Bridge and take the first left onto W. Main St. which junctions with Park Drive. Riverside Park is on your left just past this junction.
From I-5 North: Take Birch Bay-Lynden Road Exit(#270). Turn left and go East to Lynden. Turn right (south) onto Guide Meridian, go to East Pole Road and turn left, follow East Pole Road to Everson, cross over Nooksack River Bridge and take the first left onto West Main St. which junctions with Park Drive. Riverside Park is on your left just past this junction.
