Girls on the Run of NW Washington needs adult volunteers to assist with its program. Girls on the Run is a character building program for 8 to 12 year old girls. The interactive curriculum combines training for a 5k running race with life-changing, self-esteem enhancing, uplifting warm-ups and workouts that encourage emotional, social, mental and physical development.
Coaching Girls on the Run is a rewarding way to get involved! As a GOTR coach, you can empower girls to GET ACTIVE and learn to value their own strength, individuality and inner beauty. Any woman who lives a healthy lifestyle and is committed to improving the lives of girls can serve as a GOTR coach.
Spring session runs from March 23rd until the final 5k race on June 6th. Small groups typically meet at schools around the county from 3:40-5:00 p.m. one day per week. Please contact Jen Gallant @ 733-8630 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
