News Article: GBRC Track Workouts to Begin Feb 25

The weekly GBRC track workouts will be on Wednesday evenings at 6:00PM at the WWU campus track. The point of these workouts will be to develop speed, strength and running technique (for those interested). They are meant for anyone who is currently a GBRC member and interested in improving their race performances, overall fitness and also to develop running habits/strategies that may be used for life-long healthy running all regardless of how experienced a runner you are.

Parking: Please park on the gravel lots ajacent to the WWU recreation center. For directions to the track please visit www.wwu.edu/wwu_campus_map

This year we have two outstanding coaches running the track workouts, Steve Grichel and Erik DeRoche. Erik has many years experience as a Triathlete and is a former professional Triathlete. He holds degrees in Exercise Science, Physiology and has a Doctorate of Chiropractic. Steve has many years of running experience including NAIA track and field national championships. Both are experienced and certified coaches. GBRC is fortunate to have these two coaches running our track workouts this year. We hope that every member that is interested, regardless of experience or speed, will join us on the track.
